Dark Fantasy - Classic hip hop on the verses and a catchy, telling, chorus, but is deep down a metaphor for him being on top of the world, a respected rapper-turned-pop-icon at the height of his career.Ģ.) Gorgeous - Another hard hip hop song akin to his earlier CD/LR days touching briefly on political and social issues but really meaning how gorgeous his life at the top of the world is.ģ.) Power - A song about how he's starting to realize exactly what his fame brings with it, but still enjoying it for the most part. Anyway, here's my take and it makes so much sense to me that I really appreciate this album more than I ever did (which was a lot).
This album tells the story of the time period from his killer post-808's features until now. On the surface, it's about a variety of topics, but underneath it all it has a deeper meaning and is really a metaphor for his life since being at the peak of his popularity and fame until now (this right here is what makes it timeless, classic, music). I think it was something like "is blame game about Amber or his fame?" so i sat there listening to this album and it occured to me that the entire album both is and isn't. I truly forget what the thread was about but I posted this in it. I'm stoned as shit off like 6 percs and 3 Great Lakes' Christmas Ales and over on Boxden there was some thread.
